SNAP-Ed Logo

SNAP-Ed short for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education, is the educational component of the program formally known as "food stamps."  ACTIVE Life is proud to be one of 14  implementing agencies of SNAP-Ed in Texas and to provide the following programs funded within SNAP-Ed:

    • ACTIVE Nutrition (AN) - nutrition education specifically for students in grades K-6 (modified for various age levels)
    • ACTIVE Like Me (ALM) - AL After School curriculum
    • Adult ACTIVE Nutrition (AAN) - bilingual nutrition education for adults
    • ACTIVE Family Club - AL programming which incorporates family involvement
    • ACTIVE Sports - AL programming for older youth in middle and intermediate grade levels
    • Young Leaders - high school youth ambassador training program
