H-E-B, ACTIVE Life's Leading Ally, is one of the nation’s largest independently owned food retailers serving families in Texas and Mexico with over 300 stores and 75,000 employees. H-E-B is known for its strong commitment to the communities it serves. H-E-B is showing an equally strong commitment to health and wellness through their support of ACTIVE Life and the relaunched H-E-Buddy, a line of foods and products aimed at kids with no high-fructose corn syrup or partially hydrogenated oils, as well as a restricted number of calories from fat, saturated fat and sugar.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas

ACTIVE Life is proud of its alliance with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX). Both are working together to inspire and empower all Texans to live healthy, ACTIVE lives. BCBSTX serves 4 million members in all 254 Texas counties, which includes employer groups, individuals and government units, providing traditional and consumer-directed health insurance products, including medical, pharmacy, dental, vision, and medical management/behavioral health services.

 

TAHPERD is a not-for-profit professional association of individuals in the allied fields of health education, physical education, recreation, and dance. This Texas-based association is composed of over 4,500 professional and students members serving education from kindergarten through college. While most of our members are employed in public or private education, individuals representing interests in government and private agencies, business, and health care provision are increasing their voice in our membership. TAHPERD was founded in 1923 and is the only association in Texas serving education in all four of our disciplines—health, physical education, recreation, and dance.

 

The American College of Sports Medicine (“ACSM”) is the largest sports medicine and exercise science organization in the world. More than 35,000 international, national, and regional members and certified professionals are dedicated to advancing and integrating scientific research to provide educational and practical applications of exercise science and sports medicine.  ACTIVE Life is honored to partner and work with ACSM on our shared cause of helping individuals to live longer, more productive lives.  Both organizations are committed to helping people and places create and sustain healthy change, because healthy people and communities are the cornerstones of a thriving American society and economy.

 

Waste Management (WM), based in Houston, Texas, is the leading provider of comprehensive waste management services in North America. As America’s leading recycler, WM has supported research and preventative programming demonstrating that health and environmental causes are intrinsically connected. In working with ACTIVE Life, Waste Management has demonstrated its commitment to this connection by supporting ACTIVE Life’s Community Challenge Program and the Honor Zone of the ACTIVE Life Tour.

Michael & Susan Dell Foundation

The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation works to transform the lives of children living in urban poverty through better health and education. The Foundation is supporting the ACTIVE Life Movement and has been instrumental in our ability to launch the Community Challenge Program.

 

One Story Productions is an independent, documentary production company that creates customized videos used for marketing, websites, social media, and fundraising. They specialize in promotional and fundraising films for non-profit organizations. Every organization has a story that deserves to be told, and One Story Productions has one goal…to create visual voices that tell real stories. Their process is interactive, organic, and effective. Through intimate interviews and documentary-style videography, the essence of an organization is captured."

St. David's Foundation

The St. David's Foundation provides financial support to those who serve children, the elderly, the ill and the homeless and invests in care for the underserved and uninsured through hospital care in the six St. David's hospitals and primary care in local safety-net clinics. The St. David’s Foundation supports ACTIVE Life principally through the organization’s afterschool and family-based programming in Central Texas.

HealthStart Foundation

HealthStart Foundation creates health literate children and families through their Health Education for Youngsters! (HEY!) curriculum.  HEY! is a comprehensive program that provides an understanding of the human body and what exercise and nutrition is needed to remain healthy for life. 

HealthStart’s vision is that all children will learn the fundamentals of being and staying healthy as routinely as they learn their ABCs, allowing children to become agents of change in their communities.  HealthStart helps ACTIVE Life achieve its mission by making health the norm with the youngest among us. 

American Diabetes Association
