Bill started his career in healthcare in 1988 originally with the Travelers Corporation. His journey has placed him in senior positions within integrated delivery systems, Sentara Health System, and two of the premier public sector healthcare organizations Amerigroup and Centene. As a founder of AmeriGroup, Bill was the first companywide promotion where he served as the Chief Operating Officer and acting Chief Executive Officer of the Chicago operation. In 2004, he came to Austin to serve as the Chief Operating Officer for Centene’s Texas Operation, Superior Health Plan. At Superior, Bill managed a statewide operation that grew from initial annual revenues of $250M to over $500M during his tenure. A public sector healthcare expert, Bill specializes in building creative solutions to address the needs of the country’s most complex populations, Medicaid recipients.
Currently, Bill serves as President and CEO of W.E. Baker Consulting, a firm specializing in building opportunities for organizations to participate in the ever-expanding public sector healthcare space. In addition, Bill serves as the President and CEO of Sparkplug Health, a non-profit social media engagement tool developed to increase provider access and improve health literacy for young pregnant moms-to-be.

William (Bill) Davidson has had a long career in the practice of law, spanning over forty years. During that time he has had the privilege of representing a broad range of clients in litigation, bankruptcy, appellate work, corporate and real estate matters. For the past several years his practice has concentrated in the areas of corporate representation, real estate and development.
Bill has served for the past fourteen years as the general counsel for the largest privately owned PPO in the United States, working on all of its corporate, contract and health policy issues. He has also been actively involved in real estate transactions from development to financing. He is currently working on several large real estate development projects in central Texas, representing the developers of those projects.
In addition Bill has devoted many hours to non-profit corporations, acting as the volunteer corporate counsel for Hope Alliance, ACTIVE Life, and Austin Community Clinic.

Denise, owner of DC Communications, is a public relations and marketing consultant with nearly 30 years of experience. Her passions are fitness and health, with a particular emphasis on helping youth learn life-long health and wellness skills, as well as food and nutrition.
Denise has served on the board of ACTIVE Life since 2005. She chairs the Communications Committee, which is responsible for developing annual and five-year communications plan for the non-profit, as well as advising the ACTIVE Life staff about public relations, social media, event planning, and media partnerships.
She has been involved in various Austin Independent School District (AISD) activities, including serving on the AISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) for three years, where she chaired its PE Committee for two years. She has been a member of the SHAC Nutrition Committee as well as the O. Henry Middle School’s Nutrition Committee. She was instrumental in making significant changes to the O. Henry cafeteria environment, thanks to the generous support of Whole Foods Market.
A graduate of Leadership Austin (‘98), she directed the Communications Committee for the Best Party Ever in 2008. She has also volunteered with GirlStart, a non-profit created to empower girls to excel in math, science and technology.
Since starting her own communications consulting business in 1996, she has provided B2C and B2B PR counsel to many food, wine, travel and other clients, including the Texas Department of Agriculture Wine Marketing Program, Whole Foods Market, HomeAway, Dr. Kracker, Emerson Process Management, and Waste Management.
In the early 90s, Fraser opened and ran the Austin office of Fleishman Hillard, an international public relations agency headquartered in St. Louis, for six years. Her clients included SBC Communications, Texas Healthy Kids Corporation, insure-a-kid, and others. Prior to moving to Austin, she worked for 10 years in Washington, DC for international PR firms and the federal government.
Denise and her husband, Bill Fraser, also created, manufacture, and sell the NeatSeat, a seat cover designed for runners and other athletes who drive to their workouts. An avid runner, cyclist and yoga practitioner, Fraser loves to cook although her culinary skills are only as good as the recipe she is following. She has three children, Bric (29), Shelby (27), and Dean (18).

Steven Kelder, MPH, PhD, is a Professor in the Division of Epidemiology at the University of Texas School of Public Health, Austin Regional Campus and the Beth Toby Grossman Distinguished Professor in Spirituality and Healing. Dr. Kelder has over 20 years’ experience in design and evaluation of child and adolescent research, particularly interventions directed towards youth, schools, and parents. Recently, his emphasis is on interventions designed for promotion of physical activity and healthy eating, obesity prevention, and substance use prevention. He teaches graduate courses in Obesity and Public Health, Community Nutrition, Intro and Advanced Epidemiology, Social and Behavioral Aspects to Behavior Change, Epidemiology of Child and Adolescent Health, and Epidemiology Proposal Development. Dr. Kelder has extensive experience in the development of interventions directed towards youth, schools, and parents. He has published over 100 articles in the professional scientific literature and has authored 9 textbook chapters. Dr. Kelder was a Research Fellow with the CDC working to develop the School Health Index, a school self-assessment tool designed to assist schools to gauge their progress towards meeting the CDC school health guidelines for tobacco, physical activity, dietary intake, unintentional injury, asthma and violence. Dr. Kelder also was a member of the Behavior Change Expert Panel for the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy’s National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign (1998-2004).
Dr. Kelder leads CATCH (Coordinated Approach to Child Health), a research-based program that guides elementary schools, families and children in the process of being healthy, reaching over a million Texas children. CATCH is a key element in an important public health effort – increasing physical activity, improving dietary intake, and ultimately preventing childhood obesity. In summer 2007, CATCH was highlighted at the UNC/CDC Public Health Grand Rounds. In spring 2010, the CATCH team was awarded the third annual Active Living Research Translating Research to Policy Award to recognize innovative teams or individuals representing research, policy and/or advocacy who have had success of relevance to youth physical activity, sedentary behavior and obesity prevention.

Dolly Lambdin, EdD, is a clinical professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Education at the University of Texas at Austin. She has 16 years teaching experience in public and private schools grades K-8 and 31 years in teacher preparation at the university level, for many years teaching mornings in the public school and afternoons at the university. She has supervised over 100 student teachers visiting thousands of public school classes and learning from scores of fabulous “cooperating teachers”. She instructs teaching methods and curriculum courses at the undergraduate level and Technology in Physical Education, Analysis of Teaching, and Current Issues in Physical Education in the master's and doctoral programs in Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction at UT Austin.
Dr. Lambdin is the recipient of the Texas Exes Elizabeth Shatto Massey Award for Excellence in Teacher Education (2009) and the National Association for Sport and Physical Education Physical Education Teacher Education Honor Award (2009).
Dr. Lambdin served as President of the National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) from 2004-05 and on the writing teams for the Texas Physical Education Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) in Physical Education, the National and Texas State Physical Education Beginning Teacher Standards, and National Physical Education Appropriate Practices Guidelines. She is a founding member of the Board of Directors of Active Life and on the advisory boards for PECentral and the Center for Standards Based Physical Education Reform (CASPER).
Dr. Lambdin has co-authored numerous texts including Putting Research to Work in Elementary Physical Education with Lawrence F. Locke;Fitness for Life Middle School, and Fitness for Life Middle School Teacher’s Guide with Chuck Corbin and Guy LeMasurier; and a third set of books in the same series entitledFitness for Life: Elementary School. This series which includes grade level guides for classroom teachers, a guide for physical education teachers and a comprehensive guide for coordinators to establish school-wide support for physical activity and physical education was released in March 2010.

Charles Sterling attended Texas Christian University for his undergraduate studies and received his master's and doctorate degrees from Texas A&M Commerce. Later, he was the recipient of Texas A&M’s Distinguished Alumni Award and delivered the commencement address at that university.
Charles joined Dr. Kenneth Cooper’s organization in 1980 and served as the Executive Director of the renowned Cooper Institute as well as President of The Cooper Enterprises. His leadership resulted in international acclaim for both organizations. In 2001, he founded eStealth,Inc., a health information portal for physicians, and Cool Zebra, a movement education DVD for school-aged children.
Charles is best known professionally as the founder of the highly successful Fitnessgram, a health-related testing and feedback system for youth. Since he started it, Fitnessgram has become the test of choice in the U.S., being used in all 50 states and several countries. It is currently in 85,000 school districts, and mandated for all schools in California, Texas, and New York. Over 14 million students were assessed in 2009. Also, he has personally raised over $20 million from corporations to support physical education for children.
He has served on many Boards and is active in many local, state, and national organizations. He has been the recipient of many awards and recognitions, including the Brace Award, Texas AHPERD’s top award. Charles served as its President in 1981.
Currently, Charles serves as Chairman of the Fitnessgram Board of Advisors, an esteemed group of experts specializing in tests and measurements, kinesiology, behavioral science, and other pediatric disciplines. In addition, he is a consultant to Dr. Kenneth Cooper and The Cooper Institute. He and his wife are co-owners of The Sterling Party, LLC, a health-related consulting firm. Charles and Susan live in Dallas, and enjoy their five grandchildren.

For more than 30 years, clients have depended on Art Young to give them the words and images that mean business. Through strategic marketing analysis, children’s marketing, research, creative direction, public relations strategy and execution, web-based commerce strategy, or brand development, Young has worked as an independent marketing strategist and creative consultant for some of America’s largest agencies and companies.
As the architect and founding partner of NonStop ™ children’s fitness and nutrition program, Art created the concept, developed the brand and all marketing and sponsorship programs for this national program which was launched in 2006. He continues with the organization on a consulting basis.
As president and executive creative director of BLITZ! in Dallas/Nashville from1998 through 2002, Mr. Young led this sports marketing division of Athlon Sports Communications. The group advised such companies as Verizon, the Cleveland Indians, the Minnesota Vikings, the Texas Rangers, NIKE and others on sports marketing endeavors. Successful projects were completed in such areas as brand development, direct marketing, electronic publishing, sales promotions, public relations and special event planning and execution.
A five-year tour of duty on the “client side” helped Young to understand the challenges of building a product, getting it out the door and making a profit on its sale. As vice president of marketing and sales for Donruss Playoff trading cards (1993-1998), he supervised all new product development, marketing and advertising and licensing programs with the National Football League, Major League Baseball, The Cartoon Network, Turner Network and others.
Art worked as a creative director and consultant for a number of U.S. and Canadian advertising and public relations agencies, along with a select number of corporations from 1985-1993. Specializing in children’s marketing, new product feasibility, and advertising creative, he was involved in the launch of several successful products.
Art Young graduated from the University of Texas at Austin (1975) with a B.A. with honors in political science. Young has won several awards for business communications, public relations, and advertising creative.
